SHOOTING IN COLORADO: WHAT IF?

Better to Pack and Not Need To
For all the criticism leveled against George Zimmerman for his actions against Trayvon Martin it sure would have been nice to have a George Zimmerman type at that theater in Colorado wouldn't it?  Tell me I'm not right, especially if you were a victim or the friend or family member of one.  As a result of this we will all be looking over our shoulder the next time we go to a movie and we will probably be walking through metal detectors at the theater in the very near future.   Because of the Zimmerman story there is so much criticism in the media against the Stand Your Ground Laws and guns in general.  Every time something like this happens we get this same response.    A number of talking heads on TV will be calling for  gun control or an outright ban on guns, as well as, the repeal of the Stand Your Ground Laws.  Most likely it will be those with the same liberal mentality that put us in this situation in the first place.  We continue to reap the "dividends" of the mindless liberal agenda we have been following over the last 40 years or so.
Regardless, it sure would have been great if a few of the moviegoers would have been packing and been able to return fire at that douche-bag murderer when he tossed those canisters into the audience.  To see a cell phone video of some citizenry in the theater firing back would have been great!  Too bad that once again,  INNOCENT people are caught unarmed in a life or death situation.  If only we were sure this guy will be fried but, we all know better.   His rights will take precedent over the victims.  We know how this works already in America.  Lawyers, trials, appeals etc. etc. etc.  He'll be around another fifty years.  Now that is a crime.

TEAM OBAMA'S TRUTH ENHANCEMENT

Listening to Barack Obama talk reminds me a lot of what it was like listening to Bill Clinton in the 1990's, with the only difference being Clinton knew what he was talking about most of the time.  When you didn't agree with him, you could at least feel Clinton had some smarts and was pretty well versed in whatever the topic was.  It's impossible to feel that way with Obama.  He seems way over-matched and disconnected from his topic, whenever he speaks.  In addition, there seemed to be less "enhancement of the truth" when Clinton spoke.  I get the impression that Obama believes he can say anything and it becomes the truth.  I have to admit, it must work based on the legions of people who cheer him.  Of course we all know the real reason they love him and that is because the great majority of them are getting stuff and/or they are simply uninformed or they are fools.
It's not a democrat or republican thing to me, it's just clear that four more years of this guy will go a long way in wrecking the country.

REFLECTIONS OF THE ROLLING STONES 50TH ANNIVERSARY

Seems like just yesterday I was listening to these guys on a worn 45 at my buddy's house.  Playing the music over and over till the needle was worn.  Same with the Beach Boys, who indecently are also celebrating 50 years.
Whatever you think of their music you have to appreciate their longevity and their ability to stick together all these years.
Perhaps the most impressive thing about them when you think about it, is how their history is a reflection of my history as well.  I can remember periods of my life along with the music of these bands and many others. The events of the 60's, and 70's are in my mind, melded together with the music of my generation.
I remember having an AM/FM transistor radio pushed up against my ear and listening to some of the local "cool" music stations and DJ's.  The events of this era will forever be etched in my memory, as will the music of the Stones.   What a time it was!

SO LITTLE MAKES SENSE ANYMORE (Wink-Wink)

It seems like things in the country are making less and less sense.  Of course the most recent thing being the validation by the Supreme Court of Obamacare but, it isn't the only thing.  The list of bullshit stuff is so very long and frankly, I'm disgusted by even thinking about.  I'm not going to get into making a long list because I'm sure anyone reading this post knows a hundred things that are very upside down in our country  today.  It is as if we are standing by watching ourselves self destruct and are powerless to do anything about it.  Perhaps it's time to use the nuclear option on ................ourselves.
Yep, that's what I'm suggesting.  Some might call it taking one for the team.  Remember when Captain Kirk or Captain Picard had to use the self destruct sequence on the Enterprise?  You know, blow the whole ship up to take out the bad guys?   You know like, in the science fiction movie when the hero has to ride the missile into the mouth of the monster.  Remember when Major TJ "King" Kong (Slim Pickens) joyfully rides the bomb into Moscow in Dr. Strangelove?  OK so it would be bad for all of us but, it would only hurt for a second.  Better than letting the leftists have the country isn't it?

SHADES OF 2008

Voter intimidation, fraud, violence, weapons at polling places, the long dead still voting, misplaced ballots, people voting multiple times...........  OK, I know what your thinking but, you are wrong, it's not the USA this time but, Egypt.
With Mubarak gone, a "free election" is being held in Egypt for the first time.  Wink-wink, nod-nod, FREE ELECTION you say.  How can that be?   The choice between a former Mubarak crony or an Islamist isn't exactly shaping up as the kind of democratic election everyone was hoping for.  Yea it may include voting but, if you think people voting automatically equates to a democratic election, then you are mistaken.
Evidently, you haven't learned your lessons from the election of 2008.  The claims listed above are the same exact ones we keep hearing about our own elections, most recently, that one .  And much like the Egyptian people we were forced to chose between a terrible choice or a lousy one.  Not much to get excited about when your best options were McCain or Obama.  Like the Egyptians, many of us voted for the lesser of two evils.  We voted, not for a guy to win, we voted for another guy not to win.  Doesn't seem like a good system, now does it?
If this is the type of democracy or system of government we want to impose on the rest of the world when we say we are fighting wars to "Spread Democracy and Freedom" maybe those folks would be better off without our interference?

BARACK OBAMA: FROM BAD TO WORSE............TO WORSER

Are there any more possible ways to demonstrate to any sane person how pathetic and out of touch this president is, than what we heard yesterday right from the horses mouth?   When Obama shocked most many Americans by saying that the private sector was fine, he really went over the top.  This idiotic statement from a man many profess to be the second coming,  a Harvard graduate, a former U.S. Senator, sadly brings to light what a pitiful, horrible excuse for a president we have.  I'm at a loss to understand how he can even get one vote let alone millions.   It just shows how many stupid, gullible and misinformed people there are running around in the country.
The list of this guy's gaffes is growing exponentially and his continuing demonstrations of poor judgement and leadership are now such a common occurrence as to be barely noticed.  In fact they are expected.  In other words, his errors are so common so as to appear normal.
One can only hope that November will bring about the change we truly need and that is the removal from office of Mr. Soetoro and his cronies before their corruption and ineptness destroy what is left of this country.
It appears our options are to go with Mitt Romney who may or may not be the best candidate or re-elect this guy who is so in over his head it isn't even funny.  Personally, I'm for Romney mainly because he's NOT Obama.
Trust me, I understand there are really lousy politicians from all sides of the aisle but, for a President of the USA to be this bad......... well that is, pretty noticeable.

I'm enclosing a link to an article on sodahead.com.  I'm just putting it out there for discussion and not necessarily because I believe it is all the gospel.  Makes you think for sure though.
